Youth military organizations start by checking out the rules page. In addition to having the rules for the amateur radio contest portion of the competition, it also includes the list of challenges that you can start working on now. When you start working on challenges, don’t forget to keep track for your score. If you need licensed radio operators to help, reach out to a local club. Search the ARRL’s club directory here or reach out to me by email.
Amateur Radio Clubs, and ARES Groups, you can locate a Sea Cadet unit close to you and reach out to them. With the competition still growing the unit closest to you might not know about it yet, proactively offering to help might be the difference maker. It has been pointed out that the competition covers a lot of topics and activities. As a club all you need to do is to include the cadets in things you are already doing and if possible volunteer operators and equipment for the amateur radio contest portion in November.
